Metta, loving-kindness towards ourselves and others, lies at the heart of Buddhism. This retreat will focus on the Metta Bhavana meditation practice, exploring how it can help transform our emotional lives into ones consistently based on love, friendliness and interconnectedness. Kindness can help us develop stability of heart and mind and be the quality we steer our lives by.
We will reflect on how metta can manifest as compassion, generosity and joy, helping us open our lives to greater meaning. The five days will also include body scan relaxation, talks and small groups.
Whether you already have a positive connection with the Metta Bhavana or sometimes struggle with it, come and have a fresh experience and take your practice deeper. If you are new to meditation we will give you a thorough introduction to this inspiring practice.
