Khemasuri

I first came to Taraloka in 1988 with a meditation question, what do you do with an itch? And over the years it has become my second home!

I came into the Order through a small class in the Welsh hills, got involved with Buddhafield and now I’m part of the large Sheffield Sangha. I have practiced while raising a family and working for Social services. I have been an activist in different ways and see the Order as challenging the accepted norms of society. I have lived in Triratna communities and worked for the Order for a while. A rich life…… my name means ‘heroine at ease in the world’ and I love it.

I really appreciate being on retreat, exploring what makes us Buddhists, and learning different ways to support and enhance our practice and our life.
