Liberation, Love and the Bodhisattva Ideal
*This weekend is proving very popular, which is great! We've arranged for Buddhafield North's gorgeous Mongolian marquee to be our shrine space, which has freed up space in the retreat centre for mattresses. The website is only offering mattress or camping spaces, but if you particularly need a bed please write this on your booking, email the office or call 01948 710646 and we'll see what we can do. There are definitely still some bed spaces for guys available*
This retreat is ONLY for people who regularly attend Chester, West Wales, Llangollen and Shrewsbury Triratna Sanghas.
‘To consider the Bodhisattva Ideal is to place one’s hand on the very heart of Buddhism, and feel the beating of that heart’ Sangharakshita
Do we practise meditation and Buddhism to become freer and happier ourselves, or to respond more fully to the suffering of others? Both are at the heart of Buddhist practice - yet it can often feel as though our own needs and those of others are in conflict. How can we do both - grow and become happier ourselves, and also live lives of deeper and deeper altruism?
Come and explore what the Bodhisattva Ideal really is, and how we can live it here and now, changing our world and making our everyday lives exciting, fulfilling and worthwhile!
This is an unusual event for Taraloka - it's open to all genders and it is a charged event so please ignore website information about cost/donations. The total cost of the weekend is £75 per person, with a £35 non-refundable deposit required to book a place.
