Weekend Retreat for Mothers: June

Friday, June 15, 2018 to Sunday, June 17, 2018
Retreat Team:
Karunagita
Amaragita
Retreat Type:

I am delighted to be leading this annual weekend retreat for mothers at Taraloka, with a team of Buddhist mothers including Amaragita. It is open to all mothers and mothers-to-be with an interest in meditation and Buddhism.  This weekend will offer an opportunity to take time out and relax, away from immediate family demands. We will have meditation, talks, a workshop, small discussion groups and short periods of silence.  You will be invited to contribute one simple task a day to help the retreat run smoothly and will be fed and looked after in the welcoming environment of Taraloka, with space in the programme to go for walks, catch up on sleep and chat to other mothers.

Suggested donation (in addition to the booking fee): £140 waged / £85 unwaged
Booking Fee:
£50.00

This retreat is nearly fully booked. Only 5 spaces left.

Paying for your retreat

Taraloka runs on generosity.

To book a retreat you pay a booking fee.  This is the only charge made for coming on retreat. We want Taraloka retreats to be available to any woman, whatever her financial situation.

At the end of your retreat, you have the opportunity to give money towards Taraloka.  If you are able to donate, you are giving to another woman who otherwise could not afford to come on retreat.  And you are helping to give the gift of Taraloka to the women of the future.

Suggested donations

Our suggested donations (in addition to the booking fee) for 2018 are (waged/unwaged)

Running on generosity is radical – thank you for being part of that.
